I basically wanted this because of the controllers. There are alot of arcade games that I felt would benefit from them and that was the way I played them in the arcade. To start the system does come with a long hdmi cable. The cable to connect the two controllers together is long as well. This is good so you can sit back from the tv. The user interface is easy to learn compared to some other similar game systems. Now I did notice some lag with the controllers with some games. It's hit or miss with how well the games play. I tried games from most of the available emulators and some worked and others didn't within the same system. Some ps1 games work fine and others won't load. I had the same problem with the mame/arcade games. Its worth mentioning that you cannot adjust or switch emulator cores on this. Everything is pre-configured with no settings you can adjust to improve game play. All of the vertical arcade games are stretched out and look odd on the screen. There is no rhyme or reason for the order games are listed in so you either look up a game using the search option or you just scroll until you find something you want to play. The games on this are from regions all over the world so the game you might be looking for could be listed under its European or Asian name but they will play the same way. There are some rare arcade games on this. I never knew the Castlevania series had an arcade game from 1987 its called "Haunted Castle" and its on this system. Most of the games have a screenshot or video preview so you can see what it is before you play. Some games are a blast to play using these controllers. All of the contra games play so much better with a joystick for aiming weapons. I had my expectations tempered when I ordered this because I have alot of different emulation systems from using a computer to handheld consoles and I know most have a flaw or two and I have learned to accept these. If you keep your expectations tempered you will be fine with this as well.
