I don’t know why I bought these. They were under $10, there were only two reviews at the time of purchase, and the reviews didn’t say much. But I’m GLAD I DID buy them!! I use the Virtual Haircut to test out my earbuds. The good earbuds make the Virtual Haircut sound like I am sitting in the room, while people are moving around me, when I close my eyes. These buds, my friend, pass the test with flying colors! The earbuds come packed in a rectangle tin, accompanied with a small black velvet pouch, assorted sizes of black earbud covers, a lapel clip, a users manual, and a KLM info card. The jack is angled around 40° making it easy to plug in and pull out the jack without breaking the cord fibers. My experience with typically straight jacks is the fibers break at the base of the plug, when I try to plug it in. It doesn't matter how hard I try to avoid pushing on the wire, it always happens. That hasn't happen with this jack...not yet, anyway. The controls on the wire appear where the left and right wires merge. Most earbuds I've used place the controls on the right ear wire, which may cause stress to the wire. The controls are larger than typical controls, and have three buttons: ⏪, ⏯ and ⏩. I had a bit of difficulty getting the buttons to work properly, since the manual comes on what resembles a repurposed playing card (I don’t have a problem with that, it’s pretty cool, actually), with no words. The instructions were in pictures. Fortunately, I’m an artist; so I was able to read the instructions (I’m very fluent in Draw). I went to the website, because the card instructions showed the ⏯ button as the "pause", "play", "previous song" and "next song". I located my device on the website and clicked on "Manual". It showed two pictures: the front side and back side of the card. But when I looked closer at the picture on the website, I realized I had failed to recognize that the hands on the photos have numbers on them. That's when I finally figured it all out. SO...allow me to show you how the buttons REALLY work:PHONE:⏪ = Decrease Volume⏩ = Increase Volume⏯ = Answer Incoming Call⏯ = Gooood-BYE, Caller!MUSIC:⏪ = Decrease Volume⏩ = Increase Volume⏯ = (Click Once) to toggle music on or off⏯ = (Click Twice) to go to next song on list⏯ = (Click Three Times) to restart currently playing song⏯ = (Click Six Times) to go to previous song on listThe instructions say (per my Draw interpretive skills) to click 3 times to jump to the previous song; but if the song has already begun playing, a triple-click will take you back to the beginning of that song. So if you click it six times, you are restarting the song, and then going to the previous song. Simply put, when you sextuple click, you are actually triple-clicking twice...or double triple clicking. ? Confused, yet? These controls can be used while you are using most other apps, not just your music app. One exception would be the camera app.CAMERA:⏪ = (Click Once) takes photo⏩ = (Click Once) takes photoEither one will work, but the center ⏯ still controls the music. So, Sgt Detective, if you have your music playing while your camera is on late at night while staking out a joint, you better hope your flash isn’t on when you try to turn down your music to avoid sound detection. ?And another thing they don't tell you..DURING ANY IPHONE OPERATION:⏯ = (Hold down) and you get to boss Siri around. This would be a good time to ask Siri to tell you a story. But keep asking, because she is a biiiiiit cheeky! I have actually found this hidden feature to be quite handy through the day: “Siri...call my husband”...”Siri, set my timer for...”...”Siri, what time is it?”...”remind me to call...”...OK! Go ahead! You can poke that little "helpful" button, now?. ? Shoot. I just spoiled it, didn't I? ?The sound quality is pretty decent. Like I said, I use Virtual Haircut to gauge the quality of sound with earbuds, and this has been one of the best pairs of buds I've owned! But that could be interpreted as "Wow! Those must be some very awesome earbuds!"...or..."You poor thing! You have never heard quality sound in your life, EVER, Have you?"I'm not a musician, so I am not experienced in sound quality. I don't know how deep I should hear bass (I can't even hear a tuna). But I do know for now, I don't hear static, like I have heard with a lot of earbuds I have owned. I even had a pair of buds that randomly played songs while I didnt even have my music player turned on. These buds haven't tried that trick yet. But if I do experience any strange or unwelcomed sounds or activity (or inactivity), I will be back to post an update. I'm not one for allowing someone to cheat me. If I end up with a lemon, you can believe I will not be making lemonade. I'll use my sour experience to make sure the seller doesn't get away with selling any more to unsuspecting buyers. But for NOW these babies are sweet!!!No, nobody paid me to write this review, although it has been updated for correction.
